A Secretaria da Saúde do Estado (Sesab), através da Diretoria de Vigilância Epidemiológica (Divep) anunciou que a Campanha de Vacinação contra a Influenza foi prorrogada até o dia 30 de junho. De acordo com órgão, a meta de vacinar 90% para alguns grupos não foi alcançada, então a necessidade da prorrogação para que as pessoas compareçam a um posto de vacinação para se imunizar.
Na Bahia, somente os grupos de trabalhadores da saúde, indígenas e idosos, a partir de 60 anos, atingiram a meta de vacinação. No primeiro grupo, 99,41% de cobertura e no segundo grupo, a cobertura ficou em 96,97% e o terceiro grupo, a cobertura ficou acima de 100%. Os outros grupos ficaram muito abaixo da meta: crianças (34,31%); gestantes (45,10%); puérperas (53,30%); adultos de 55 a 59 anos (33,61%).
Em todo o estado, a meta é imunizar 90% do público alvo, formado por cerca de 4,6 milhões de pessoas. Para proteger ao máximo a população, a vacina está disponível em postos espalhados por todos os municípios.
